The Exhibition at the Piraten Museum ピラーテン博物館での展覧会

スウェーデンの偉大なる作家、海賊 Fritiof Nilsson (フリーティオーフ・ニルソン、「Piraten 海賊」というのは彼のニックネームです。 １８９５〜１９７２年）についての漫画制作に関する、私とフレデリック先生の展覧会が開催されました。 （２００８年６月２３日から７月１７日まで、南スウェーデンのスコーネ地方にある Vollsjö という町のPiraten Museet にて。）
先週は、最後の準備を終え、プレスへのお披露目も、Piraten （ピラーテン）博物館で行われました。 （写真は、そのときの風景です。）
２紙の新聞記者がインタビューに来ましたが、とても良い人たちで、万事良好に進みました。
翌日、別の新聞社(KVÄLLS POSTEN)が私に電話をかけてきて、電話上でのインタビューを行うことに。
その後、ラジオ局がインタビューをしたいと電話かけきたんですよ！
で、今朝、私はラジオ出演をしました！
ドキドキだったけど、楽しかったです。
全てを語るにはちょっと短かったけど、すごく良いものとなりました。

Me and Fredrik-sensei's exhibition about how we are making the comic book about “Piraten (the great Swedish novelist, Fritiof Nilsson" 1895-1972) is up and runing now. (From 23rd of June until 17th of August 2008 at the Piraten Museum in Vollsjö in Skåne, the South of Sweden.)
Last week, we did the last preparations and also had a show for the press at the Piraten Museet. (See the photos.)
Two newspapers came and interviewed us.
It all went well and they were nice.
Next day another newspaper (KVÄLLS POSTEN) called and did an interview with me over the phone, and after that the radio called and asked to make an interview with me also!
So early this morning, I was on the air!
It was fun and exiting.
A little short to talk about it all but it turned out great.

Exhibition at the Drawing Museum デッサン美術館での展覧会

先週、南スウェーデンにある Laholm （ラホルム）という、小さな古い町に行きました。
古い建物が多く残る、とってもチャーミングな雰囲気の町です。
この Laholm には、デッサン専門の博物館（美術館）“Teckningmuseet” があります。
（色彩画ではなく、デッサンのみ。）
今年の夏の始め（５月２４日から６月２９日まで）、この美術館で展覧会をやらないかと、コミック学校がオファーを受けました。
自分の作品を展示するよう、私は壁一面のスペースを提供されたんですよ！
いくつかのプレスからインタビューを受けたのですが、こちらの写真は地元の新聞に載ったもの。
後ろの壁一面に掛かっているのが、私の作品です。
今週末には、デンマークの首都コペンハーゲンで、別の展覧会があります。
“Komiks.dk” という、国際コミックフェスティバルです。
Last week, I went to Laholm, small old town in South Sweden.
There are many old buildings and it has a very charming atmosphere.
Laholm also has a Museum for Drawings, “Teckningmuseet”.
(Not painted art, but drawings.)
The comic school was invited to do an exhibition now in the early summer (from 24th of May to 29th of June).
I’ve got a whole wall to myself to hang my drawings!
We had some interviews by press and here is a picture from the local newspaper.

This weekend, I have another exhibition in Copenhagen, the capital city of Denmark.
It is an international comic festival called “Komiks.dk”.

Meeting with Mr. Stan Sakai

ストックホルムで行われた、今年のSPXのゲストである、スタン坂井 (Stan Sakai) 氏のお世話をさせていただくという栄誉に恵まれました。
坂井氏が私にメールで、観光案内などしてくれないかと聞いてくださったのです。
スタン坂井氏は、とっても素晴らしい方で、アメリカのあらゆるコミックに関する賞を受賞している人にもかかわらず、とっても気さくで謙虚な方でした。
ストクホルムの町を案内したり、博物館等にお連れしたり、ボートクルーズに参加したときも、いつも楽しそうで何事にも好奇心が旺盛でした。
食べ物の面でも問題なく、いろいろなスウェーデン料理にも果敢に挑戦し、全て気に入ってくださったようです！
スタン坂井氏とお話しするのは、とても興味深く感銘を受けることしきり。
彼自身、多くの偉大な漫画家たちとお会いしているのです。
例えば、スタン坂井氏が手塚治先生にお会いしたときのことなど。
カメラを持っていなかったので、残念ながら私が撮った写真はないのですが、誰かの写真画像をいただくことができたら、ブログにアップしますね。

I had the honor of taking care of Mr. Stan Sakai for his visit to Stockholm SPX this year.
He had mailed me and asked if I could help him out a little bit to show him around a bit.
Mr. Sakai was a very, very nice man and even though he had won every price that you could win for a comic in America, he was very humble and modest.
He was happy and curious when I showed him around in town, took him to museums and cruised around in boats.
It was also easy to make him try all sorts of Swedish food.
He liked everything!
Talking to Mr. Sakai was so interesting as he had met so many great comic artists himself.
It was, for example, very interesting to hear him talk about his meetings with Osamu Tezuka.
I didn't have any camera myself, so there were no pictures that I took.
But if someone sends me some I'll post them so that you also can see.
But here is a picture Stan Sakai did of me and Usagi.
I think I'm dead.....

ブックフェア Book Fair 2007

スウェーデンでは秋が深まってまいりました。
秋といえば、ブックフェア。
（昨年の記事をご参照ください。）
今年は５日間参加しましたよ。
会場では、多くのおもしろい人たちや変わった人たちと知り合え、とても楽しかったです。
でもブックフェア終了後は、とっても疲れ、足はボロボロに・・・
ブックフェアは、有名な作家やアーティストに出会える、良い機会でもあります。
なので、会場を歩きまわり、気になる人々や憧れの人たちに話しかけてみました。
（なんと、ミッフィーにも会っちゃったんです！）
It's really autumn here in Sweden now, and when it is autumn it is Book Fair.

This year I stayed all the 5 days.
It was nice and I got to know many fun and strange people.
But after it was over I was very tired and my poor feet was worn out.
The book fair is a good chance to get to see and meet famous writers and artists.
So, of cause, I walked around and talked to people that I like.
(I even met Miffy!)
