ブリュッセルの夜 Night life in Brussels

なかなか更新できず、ごめんなさい。
今週で学校が終わるので、ちょっと慌しかったり、ときに何もすることなかったり。
でもコミック学校を卒業するからといって、このブログをやめたりしませんよ。
まだたくさん書きたいこともありますし、学校もまだ終了していませんので。
今日はブリュッセル旅行報告、最終号です。
毎晩、コミック学校の生徒たち（と先生方）が集まっていたのは、"Mort Subite" というバー。
昔ながらのバーで、とても雰囲気が良く、スタッフも良い人たち。
ここに座ってビールを飲んだり、ちょっとしたスナックをつまんだりしながら、その日にあったことや見たことを、皆で話し込んでいました。
そのとき、突然誰か（誰だか忘れました・・・）が、ビールのコースターの裏側に、絵を描き始め、皆それに続き、描き出したのです。
バーのスタッフは、もっと描くよう、どんどん私たちにコースターを与えてくれます。
これは２晩のうちで、もっとも楽しい出来事だったな〜。
結果、すっごく可笑しくってヘンな絵が描かれたコースターが、１５０枚以上。
（バーのスタッフからは、サインまで求められました！）
Sorry for being late with my update!
This is the last week of school and everything is a bit up side down.
But I'm not stopping this blog just because school's out, I still have much to tell you and I think that I haven't seen the last of the school yet.
Today it's the last part of the Brussels report.
Every evening all the comic students (and teachers) met at a bar called "Mort Subite".
This was an old time beer bar with a very nice atmosphere and a lovely staff.
We sat and drank beer and had small snack food and everyone talked about what they had seen or experienced that day.
The all of a sudden someone (I don't know who it was...) started to draw on the back of the beer mat's and in no time everyone was drawing.
The staff at the bar even gave us more to draw on.
This was the evening fun for us for two whole evenings.
The result was over 150 VERY fun and strange drawings.
(The staff in the bar even asked us to sign some!)

ブリュッセルのコミック博物館 Comic Museum in Brussels

ブリュッセルにある二つのコミック博物館について、今週はお話しようと思います。
もっとも大きなコミックミュージアムは、アールデコの美しい建物。
(Centre Belge de la Bande Dessinee)
いくつかの常設展示と特別展示展に分かれていて、館内には原寸大の有名コミックキャラクターの像や胸像なども、たくさん置いてあります。
常設展示の中で私がもっとも気に入ったのは、博物館蔵である、膨大なコミックの原画コレクション。
１回で全てを展示できないほどの数。
オリジナル原画は何時間見てもあきないほどで、素晴らしい作品の仕事ぶりを堪能できます。
アーティストがどのような過程で作品を描いているのか見ることができるのも、おもしろいです。
原画を見ると分かりやすいですね。
ここのレストランがとても素敵で、有名コミックアーティストによって描かれた大きな絵が飾ってあるのですが、それら全ての絵は、この博物館からモチーフを受けています。
（メニューには、コミックにまつわる料理も載っています。）
もうひとつ訪れた博物館は、主にGege に基づいた展示。
彼はベルギーのコミックアーティストにとって、日本の手塚治のような存在。
ほとんどの偉大なアーティストは、Gege のスタジオで働き、彼から学んだりインスピレーションを受けたりしています。
Gegeと、多くの彼の「学生たち」による原画が展示されていました。
This week I'll tell you about two comic museums in Brussels.
The biggest comic museum is housed in a beautiful art deco building.
(Centre Belge de la Bande Dessinee)
There are some permanent exhibitions and some that are change.
The museum has also made a lot of live size statues and busts of famous characters.
Among the permanent ones my favourite is the huge collection of original pages that the museum have.
So many that it's not possible to show them all at one time.
I can stand for hours looking at original pages and enjoy the great work of art they are.
It's also very fun to see the way some artists have been working.
This is much easier to see on the originals.
The restaurant is very nice and has big paintings made by known comic artists that all have motives from the museum.
(The menu even has some comic special dishes.)
The other museum is mainly based around on artist: Gege.
He is like a Tezuka Osamu for the Belgian comic artists.
Most of all the big artists has or had been working in his studio and had learned or got inspired from him.
Original pages from both him and many of his "students" are on display.

マンガの壁画 in ブリュッセル Comic Walls in Brussels

こんにちは！
ブリュッセルへの小旅行から帰ってきたところです。
コミック学校の生徒たちと、その他スウェーデンのコミック関係者たちが一緒に、ベルギーの首都ブリュッセルに招かれ、行ってきました。
ブリュッセルには、本当にたくさん、コミックに関するものがあります。
博物館、お店、レストランのメニューなど・・・
でも、特に目を奪われたのは、壁に描かれた絵の数々。
街中のあちこちに、このような大きな壁画が、コミックアーティストやコミックのキャラクターへのトリビュートとして、描かれているのです。
とてもきれいなので、グラフィティ（壁にスプレーで落書き）で汚されたりもしません。
ブリュッセルに関しては、もう二つ記事をアップしますね。

Now I'm back from a little journey to Brussels.
Some of the people at the comic school were invited to go to Brussels in Belgium together with some other comic related people from Sweden.
There are really many things in Brussels that are connected with comics.
Museums, shops, menus at restaurants…
But what really catch the eye are all the wall paintings.
All over the city there are these huge wall paintings made in tribute to different comic artists or comic characters.
They are beautiful and even the graffiti people leave them alone and don't destroy them.
There will be two more reports from Brussels coming up soon.
